About the role

This manager manages sales and inventory plans for one or more dominant divisions from investment through exit at the product/category/item level for Gap China eCommerce. He/She is responsible for ensuring that the development and management of assortment, demand and inventory plans achieve overall eCommerce financial goals.

What you'll do

1.Operations / Financial

• Oversee mindsight/hindsight for category performance at event/monthly/quarterly basis to drive next season’s strategies.
• Analyze historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities for the market.
• Lead competitive analysis on a regular basis to understand marketplace trends and opportunities
• Closely track the online status of each new flow and continues to insure on-time receipts and uploading. Communicate risks and/or opportunity to cross functional partners.
• Manage the reconciliation of class-to-department bottoms-up plans for multiple complex areas
• Develop the product line of ecommerce exclusives to meet online customers’ need and preferences
• Participate in company and brand initiatives as appropriate

2.People Leadership / Relationships

• Support a collaborative, innovative, and results-oriented environment with peers and cross-functional team
• Provide timely feedback and direction to direct supervisor to foster rapid skill development and performance improvement
• Manage highly functioning, engaged team. Aid in the development of individual development plans

Who you are

1.Required knowledge, skills & abilities:

• Able to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
• Demonstrate logical analytical skills
• Basic technical PC skills, including the ability to learn technical applications quickly
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Language: Fluency in English

2.Minimum Education Level

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required

3.Experience Required

• 3 years+ experience as a Merchandiser or Buyer required
• Experience in fashion/apparel industry is preferred
