About Our Client

*Biotech Fund has committed USD35 million investment, within around two years into 13 companies. Its market value has reached ~USD400 million. They are experiencing fund II with a size of USD150 million and Fund III with size of RMB 500 million.

There are around 20 people in *Biotech Fund, from investment management department including scientists partners doing deals valuation, exit support, investment execution team doing due diligence and portfolio management, also they have external financial advisory help on deals financing, to investor relation department including marketing, operation, compliance, legal, hr.

Job Description

• Managing team from investment management (communicate with scientists from deals valuation & negotiation), portfolio managements, exit support to IR.

• Support IR on proposing potential investor list, going for roadshow

• Keep in contact with investors, assist updating portfolio new valuation;

• Providing services to portfolio startups: consolidate resources, participating in post investment management including creating post investment management plan and executing;

• Assisting scientific team with deal sourcing according to the latest strategy of the fund;

• Coordinate team do to due diligence, including competitor research, deal structuring, and investment assessment based on potential risk and return;

• Assisting to smooth the workflow of investment, including organizing and collecting all contracts and necessary files.

The Successful Applicant

Education and Qualification

• Graduate from global top schools. No limitations on majors/areas of expertise so long as there is a strong ability to learn.

Work Experience

• Above 10 years working experience in well known funds as senior leaders

• Experience in venture capital from leading team to do investment to post investment monitoring and support

• Know how to coordinate fund raising for IR

• Familiarity with biotech sector would be advantageous

Non-Technical / Soft Skills

Decisive.

Good team leader and team player and able to lead a highly motivated and capable/energetic teams of Investment/IR/PR/Risk/Finance/HR for our own team as well as invested companies;

Exceptionally good in managing very complicated businesses, investors, founders and professional collaborations;

Bi-lingual communication ability (written and oral) in Chinese and English are must;

Ability to work independently while being a team player.

Ability to multi-task and work with tight project timelines.

Ability to travel on a regular basis
