The largest family-owned winery in the world. Offers a broad array of products that total more than 100 brands and include table, sparkling and luxury wines, beverage products, dessert wines and distilled spirits.
Job DescriptionPartners with Senior Management to establish commercial objective and priorities, ensuring activities and initiatives deliver China business plans.
Manages distributor relationships with third party distributors, prepares and delivers key / major brand building and promotional presentations to both distributor personnel and, in partnership with distributor personnel to Key Accounts and Sub-distributors and wholesalers within the assigned territory.
Inspires and motivates distributor management and sales people (kick-offs, new program introductions, and crew drives) to maximize the sale and distribution of Gallo Product Portfolio.
Promotes positive working relationships across regional distributors and their customer base.
Partners with distributor personnel to provide retail key accounts with Field Marketing concepts to secure product and brand education in the Chinese market.
Develops and negotiates yearly sales activity plans with distributor sales management and assists in the implementation of these with regional third party market distributors and retail key accounts.
Works with distributor management to understand performance expectations and establish necessary sales goals, priorities and incentives.
Directly monitors and ensures achievement of performance goals and objectives.
Develops and delivers effective marketing presentation to distributors? management in partnership with Gallo Brand / Trade Marketing personnel.
Works at all levels within the distributor to ensure effective focus is placed upon Gallo brands.
Provides training, education and advice to Distributor?s team about Gallo products and brands.
Develops a thorough understanding of the distributors needs across the regional and develops/delivers business solutions, programmes to drive marketing of Gallo brands across region.
Forecasts business results and plans strategies to maximize future product sales through appointed distributor and their customer base.
Prepares yearly budget plans for distributors for local financials and preplans local Annual Review Plan budgets.
Develops or approves recommendations to change systems, policies, and procedures; ensures timely and accurate implementation.
Represents the company at local trade fairs, events, wine competitions etc.
Aware of market developments in the territory at all times and establishes effective mechanisms to share this with Gallo management through effective market surveys and building a strong network of in market contacts. Examples of the type of developments would include, but are not limited to, Competitor brand / products promotional activity and New brand/SKU launches.
Works as an Information Gateway between key accounts, local distributors, and Gallo Departments.

Bachelors degree plus a minimum of 4 years of Sales experience with a consumer product company or alcohol beverage distributor reflecting increasing levels of responsibility OR 8 years of sales experience with a consumer product company or alcohol beverage distributor reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
Bilingual in English and Chinese.
Established relationships with retail wholesalers distributors
WSET Level I, WSET Level II or above would be preferred
Established relationships with specialist channels such as On Premise, Premium & E-Retailers
Strong understanding of specialist channels such as Premium & On Premise
Skilled in positioning high end Premium product to brand appropriate customers
10+ years experience with specialist wine distributor
Home-based role in Guangzhou;
