LAB TECHNICIAN
( Guangdong based - J51- LT/6)

The Job
You report to the Technical Manager in China. Under the guidance of your manager and working closely with the lab team you fulfill laboratory work requests (LWR) and sample orders (SO) in the most efficient and cost effective manner. You work on the formulations and testing of our wide range of coatings and make recommendations working in line with specific customer programs to continuously enhance our value proposition to our customers.

You assist:
- Quality Control Technicians in the testing of production batches made for the first time
- Support Quality Control in troubleshooting of production batches -Assist production with manufacture of small quantities of intermediates and finished goods.
- Adhere good laboratory practice including safety, cleanliness & good maintenance of equipment's across the laboratory
- To work in accordance with the Whitford Waste, Quality & Environment Policies.

The person:
· Diploma/Bachelor in Chemistry with at least 1 - 2 years relevant work experience. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
· Experience working in a laboratory with formulating coatings or paints are welcome
· Analytical, computer literate with good communication and interpersonal skills.
· Work independently under pressure within operating guidelines and high regard for safety
