Operations Manager

(Guangdong) - J51-OPM

The Job

You report to the General Manager in the China. Responsible for the entire manufacturing plant you will oversee Production, Quality, Purchasing and Maintenance departments. You ensure products are manufactured accurately to the cost efficiencies, time and quality requirements. You implement best practices in areas such as on time delivery, quality, lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, 5S to achieve operational excellence and contribute to achieving the organizations desired productivity and profitability. As Operations head you lead a team of department managers and foster good ethics, a proactive and positive culture, and maximize the opportunity for personal growth at all levels of the organization.

The person

· Degree holder in Engineering, Chemistry or other related discipline

· Fluent in both English and Mandarin

· Possess broad experience in manufacturing &production processes related to Chemicals, coating or related industries such as ink, pigments, paint preferred

· Working knowledge of production scheduling, procurement & MRP.

· Working knowledge of health and safety best practice and legislation.

· Knowledge of principles and tools of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement in a low volume, high quality manufacturing facility.

· Possess strong problem solving, analytical skills, organizational and people skills

· Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills for a demanding and customer focused working environment.
