      Responsibilities

1. Act leading engineers analyze and model of auto industry with relevance to, using Python, MATLAB and associated toolboxes.

2. Work simultaneously on multiple projects, involving in diverse team, develop and apply computational solutions for RD&E of materials (organic and inorganic) testing data, data mining, data-driven, data models, and machine learning.

3. Provide insight from data and communicate opportunities or issues.

4. Work close with scientist and engineer to translate algorithms into Corning porotype product, data-science, data-driven for innovation effectiveness.

5. Development of technical best practices for data architecture, data transformations, data quality, data cleansing, ETL and other data movement related activities.

6. Design and develop high performance ETL code/processes to load data from various sources ranging from single point measurements to cloud based solutions.

7. Develop and improve existing software solutions that enable data exploration, visualization and modeling.

8. Prepare research proposals, progress reports, and manuscripts for submission to technical document.

9. Share and discuss findings with team members

      Education & Experience

1. Bachelor degree or Master degree in mathematics, computer science or similar field of study, with at least 3-5 years of relevant experience.

2. Previous experience working in data mining or natural language processing.

   Required Skills  

1. Possesses a strong knowledge of statistics, programming and predictive modeling.

2. Knowledge and hands on experience acquiring, integrating and transforming data from multiple sources and formats including XML, CSV, Flat files, unstructured and structured data environments.

3. Strong programming skills across multiple development environments

4. Program track record, skill in the use of one or more analytic software tools or languages (e.g., SAS, SPSS, R, Python)

5. Experienced with relational databases, columnar databases and data warehouse platforms.

6. Database experience with Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server

7. Experience using Data visualization, Reporting and BI platforms like PowerBI, Tableau, Excel, etc.

8. Experience in MDX Queries, SSIS, Historian Databases

9. Ability to create and present project related material to project teams and Customers/Receivers

   Soft Skills            

1. Good English communication in paper and oral.    

2. Shows a high level of skills in acquisition and application of vast knowledge areas over a short period of time and requires a strong sense of personal responsibility.

3. Good sense of IP protection and risk management.
