Summary

This position will support KDP's local engineering team in the creation and release of 3D CAD, drawings and related documentation and be responsible for maintaining the CAD models and assemblies of assigned products.

Essential functions

• Maintain and modifying CAD models in Teamcenter Solidworks Integration Manager.

• Enforce modeling and drafting standards within the KGM team and with external suppliers.

• Generate design solutions to technical problems.

• Measuring, maintaining and modifying the performance of mechanical components to meet the product requirements.

• Providing technical advice, writing good reports and documentations.

• Create or revise accurate, detailed, SolidWorks CAD models, drawings, BOM’s, and other engineering documentation as required.

• Participate in design and drawing reviews, prototype builds and verification testing and documentation.

• Release drawings via Engineering Change Requests (ECR) process utilizing Teamcenter ERP system.

• Shepard engineering change requests and Engineering Change Notices (ECN) through Teamcenter ERP system.

  Competency

• 5+ years working experience with Solidworks and Teamcenter or industrial practiced Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.

• Strong surface modeling and structural simulation experience.

• 5+ years working experience in the design of plastic molded parts, and complex assemblies, in the home appliance industry.

• Experience creating detailed engineering/product drawings for manufactured mechanical components, including bill of materials generation

• Working knowledge of ASME Y14.1 dimensioning and tolerancing standards, including GD&T

• Demonstrable ability to balance multiple projects and prioritize accordingly

• Prior experience in a consumer products company will be an advantage.

• Command of good written and spoken English and Mandarin is required, conversational Cantonese a plus.

• Minimum qualification with Diploma in engineering field.
