Quality Engineer

Function:
Maintain and improve product quality control, achieve the quality targets and maintain the ISO9001/TS16949 quality management system. Ensuring that there are zero customer returns and zero customer complaints

Key Responsibility
1. To set direction for improving Quality department performance in line with management objectives and policies.
2. To ensure that quality system structure is in place, promote it and followed by all related departments, including suppliers and customers.
3. To reach the quality goals based on ISO/TS standard and keep the certification system. Conduct periodical and internal evaluation through internal audits. Collection data in relation of quality performance recorded in whole plant.
4. Provide feedback to management on quality progress and status.
5. Analyze and give or coordinate disposition to non-conforming material, as well as ensuring that related suppliers implement effective corrective actions.
6. Define and implement quality control practices, such as: sampling inspection practices, statistical techniques, etc. Which are applied in manufacturing processes and production equipment.
7. Define and implement final audit procedures to the finished product before it is shipped. Measure the outgoing quality and take effective corrective actions, whenever they are required.
8. Analyze the products returned by the customer and process the guarantee credit, as well as take all the necessary actions to correct failures related to the manufacturing process.
9. Manage and coordinate the corrective/preventive actions in the manufacturing process quality system and customer complaints.
10. Define the quality of the different products and processes through the implementation of statistical techniques, FMEA, Control plan, and coordination/preparation of full PPAP documentation.
11. Ensure the availability of appropriate equipment to perform measurement, inspection and test of products. Maintain an equipment calibration, Gage R&R and verification system, in such a way to ensure their precision and accuracy is sufficient to satisfy product requirements.
12. To assure that agencies requirements and inspections are followed.
13. Co-ordinate quality training in the whole plant.
14. Evaluates and appraise QC staff performances, and develop training programs to upgrade staffs' skills.
15. Ensure that the proper maintenance and updating of all controlled documents.
16. Approve new suppliers or develop existing suppliers and sub contractors.
17. Management of both the Vision Room and Metrology Laboratory.
18. Part of the 5S management committee ensuring a safe and healthy work environment in terms of OHASA 18001
19. Contribute to the on-going effective management of the Environmental management system in terms of ISO 14001.


Qualification: Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical/electronic engineering.

Training: ISO/TS16949 Training including PPAPs

Skills and Experience:
At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing/quality areas, preferably in automotive components, plastics connectors or rubber component production.
Familiar with Quality tools and Quality management systems.
Must be proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese languages, with good communication skills
Strong computer skills, including Quality software.

Quality Synthetic Rubber (Dongguan) Co. Ltd (QSR) is a Sino-US enterprise specialized in design, developing, manufacturing of precision silicone sealing parts with sales and marketing function. Since the Headquarter in Ohio US established in 1966, the company has set up 17 facilities worldwide including 8 manufacturing plants. In December 2004, QSR as a wholly owned subsidiary of Q Holding Company, built its first plant in Dongguan, a well-known global manufacturing city in China. In May 2014, the company set up the second production base next to the original plant. Currently QSR Dongguan plant is the only company in China dedicated on producing automotive electrical connector seals and precision silicone medical components. All molding presses are imported. The Company has been certified by IATF16949 automotive quality management system, ISO13485 medical quality management system, ISO14001 environmental management system and ISO45001 occupational health and safety management system.
