Responsibilities

Perform chemical testing of apparel and textiles using various equipment in an analytical chemical testing laboratory including but not limited to GC-MS, ICP-MS, LC-MS, and UV-VIS.

Follow established operating procedures for the operation of testing equipment in a chemical laboratory for the testing of apparel and textiles.

Ensure all tests performed are error free and accurate.

Co-ordinate with clients, suppliers and factories as required for the smooth execution of their testing requests.

Able to operate the testing equipment in an analytical chemical laboratory for apparel and textiles with minimal supervision.

Prepare written test reports in English.

Requirements

• Degree holder in analytical chemistry. Advanced degree preferred.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Putonghua. The ability to speak and read German is a plus.
• 5 years applicable experience in a similar position with a major independent testing company or in house testing laboratory.
• Familiar with the applicable apparel and textile testing standards for Europe including EN, BS, DIN, and ISO.
