We are looking for an experienced APAC Credit Manager to join Edgewell Personal Care – a global FMCG business with a portfolio of over 25 brands (Schick, Banana Boat, Bulldog, Hawaiian Tropic… just to name a few!).

Overseeing credit management in APAC region and managing 5 direct reports in China, Taiwan and Australia, you will be an integral part of Edgewell's Asia Shared Service Centre. This role will report directly to the APAC Director of Controllership.

Key responsibilities include:

Credit Management and Leadership:

• Lead the execution of all credit management policies and procedures for responsible legal entities
• Ensure regular credit limit reviews are conducted, overdue accounts are monitored, news affecting credit worthiness is acted upon
• Ensure appropriate processes for the recovery of outstanding balances are followed
• Supporting markets include Australia, Greater China, Hong Kong as well as Middle East distributors

Doubtful Debt Provision Management

• Ensure that provisions are made to ensure that all doubtful debt exposures are recognized in a timely manner and that appropriate supporting documentation is available to substantiate all provisions for audit purposes

Credit Release Support

• Provide credit blocked sales order approvers with appropriate credit analysis such as prior trading history, latest financial status and other relevant commentary to enable informed credit release approval decisions to be made

Credit Management Reporting

• Provide appropriate credit management reporting to the International and APAC Controllers including detailed credit risk reporting by regional hubs with appropriate commentary and action points

Accounts Receivable Management

• Ensure accuracy of in-house and outsourced AR accounting activities
• Ensure the accuracy of deflator settlement and write-back in deflator system
• Manage BPO partner relationship

Working Capital Support

• Provide support for all working capital initiatives including regional hub reporting of key working capital metrics such as working capital values & %, periodic analysis particularly past dues and days sales outstanding

Talent Management

• Develop and align the capability of the Shared Service Center team to the business’ needs
• Assess colleagues to develop their professional skillset and build career paths

Internal Controls

• Ensure internal controls are robust to enable timely detection of fraud and errors
• Mitigate the risk of fraud and errors to ensure the integrity and timeliness of Financial Accounting information

Audit, Statutory and Taxation

• Assist in the management of the Annual Audit process to ensure efficient and timely filing of all statutory reporting obligation

Requirements:

• University graduate
• Over 8 years of relevant credit control & accounting experiences
• SAP experience is preferable
  
• Worked in a multi-national corporation is a must with over 3-years managerial experience
• Must possess good command of spoken & written English & Mandarin; Cantonese is a plus
• Experience working in a Shared Service Center is preferable
