 About the company:

This is a US company product specialized in consumer goods.

 

Main responsibilities:

• Plan, manage, and own the success of the development of a few simultaneous projects at multiple vendor sites and for multiple clients
• Work with the internal team and clients to create product definitions and test specifications
• Identify bottlenecks and risks in the project schedule and work with the client, internal team, and vendor to reduce impact on the schedule.
• Initiate and manage meetings with clients, factories, and internal team as needed to support the project schedule
• Manage the official release and archiving of files throughout the development process
• Oversee reliability and design verification testing at vendor sites
• Oversee prototype parts production, assembly, fit check, and functionality check
• Support mechanical design engineers Client, and at vendor
• Validate FAI analysis with Suppliers and report results to Clients
• Experience with a variety of assembly methods, functional testing, and reliability testing is a plus
• Vendor Selection and Costing
• Be inquisitive and pro-active in researching advances in materials, processes, design tools, and manufacturing technologies, as well as project management tools and techniques

 

Main requirements:

• 10 +years of Project-Manufacturing or Engineering background
• Highly organized, result-driven minded, excellent follow-up skills and the ability to successfully interface with partners internally  (other functions in Asia and PD function in US) and externally (with suppliers)
• Ability to plan and co-ordinate multiple projects, Good analytical skills.
• Investigation will be on going so the person will need to build and own the database of suppliers and costs.
