AR/VR Cross Reality Specialist

The Dow Chemical Company has an exciting and challenging opportunity for Augmented / Virtual / Cross Reality Specialist in the new Digital Operations Center satellite site located in Shanghai, China. The Digital Operations Center is a critical component in enabling Dow's Digital Strategy and in accelerating the Manufacturing 4.0 Program.

The new satellite center will include a blend of resources from Operations, Manufacturing & Engineering, I/S and will collaborate closely with other key functions. The extended team, will initially focus on robotics, artificial intelligence and cross reality to digitalize Dow’s operations. This multidisciplinary team will facilitate rapid prototyping of new capabilities to enhance the competitive position of Dow's manufacturing and site facilities.

This position will be located in Shanghai, China.

Primary Responsibilities

• Promote and / or evaluate new emerging technology and/or existing mobile APP/application technology throughout the solution lifecycle in a way that revolutionizes Dow’s long-term strategy and future.

• Coordinate APP/application technology development needs/requirements that support mobile technology solutions.

• Define testing requirements against determined technical & functional requirements.

• Manage and participate in the development of 3D and VR applications

• Document results of Proof of Concepts

• Ensure APP/application technology aligns to company IT architecture and security standards.

• Provide technical and process expertise to the team on issue identification, escalation, problem diagnostics and correction.
