Job Description: 

  

Within ECC - ECAD, Component, and Configuration (EC2), the Manufacturing Change Control & Configuration Team (MC3) practicing the Discipline of Change Management, Ensuring accurate product data by the efficient execution of repeatable processes, throughout the products lifecycle

  

 

  

Responsibilities:

  

?             Support Engineering Change management, Bill of Material (BOM) process to support product data release

  

?             Work in concert with Component and Design engineering community for parts, documents and engineering change creation and management

  

?             Ensure organizational process consistency among multiple projects and product teams

  

?             Ensure that data management practices comply with documented procedures and practices

  

?             Ensure that contract design / manufacturers understand and follow Product configuration management practices for MS-owned designs (e.g. part and BOM creation)

  

?             Work with Contract Manufacturers to manage Engineering Changes from release through product lifecycle.

  

?             BOM auditing, writing and implementing Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and Deviations

  

 

  

Qualifications:  

  

?             Bachelor degree majored in Mechanical Engineering or Electronics Engineering

  

?             About 2 years of working experience in consumer electronics or hi-tech industry

  

?             Experience in BOMs, Engineering Changes and data management process flow, Product Data Management (PDM) systems is desired

  

?             Great people skills (you’ll be interfacing with a lot of different people on the “rubber meets the road” level

  

?             Attention to detail (ECO’s, BOM’s, special build details, schedules, etc., must be complete and perfect)

  

?             Ability to manage many things at one time  

  

?             Strong tactical thinking, analytical skills and excellent communication skills are required

  

?             Knowledge of high-volume consumer electronics manufacturing and systems in support of manufacturing is strongly desired
