Position Description

1) Identify new lead generation workflows and generate new leads for sales This person will discover new lead generation sources, to be translated into generation of leads and developing lead generation workflows. The discovery of new leads will be basis both online research and on-ground visits/interviews as well as an understanding of the business landscape. Potential sources of leads (not exhaustive) may be online lists/marketplaces, industry associations, statutory lists, conferences and events, etc. The person will be required to compile a list of sources and generate leads from each of these sources. Further, the person should also be able to understand and map the various sources of contact information which will help connect with business decision makers in China. Their responsibilities will include Understand policy of new client acquisition of Google Research and discover potential leads for Google acquisition Check to ensure leads are within Google new accounts acquisition policy guidelines Upload leads to appropriate systems at Google, depending on requirements On occasion, after qualification, enrich leads with contact information for likely marketing decision makers at target companies

2) Evaluate leads for sales suitability The candidate will also be required to help provide feedback for other lead generation initiatives and assess the quality and scalability of these lead sources. This will require evaluating a provided set of leads against a score card. Further, the person will also provide feedback on current lead evaluation criteria and help improve them by identifying other signals and data points to assess lead quality. Evaluation of these leads may also require telephone interviews, in-person visits & online research to assess client readiness and potential. Further the person will work with other lead generation teams and coordinate with them to provide feedback on leads and share knowledge gathered from the market.

3) Conduct on-ground visits/telephone & face-to-face interviews/initial tests as well as online research to identify data sources for lead generation The person will further be required to understand the prospect landscape, understand their current eco system and identify sources (both online and offline) for Google which can serve as lead generation and lead engagement forums. This will require the person to research the market through online sources, telephone interviews, market visits and discussions with prospects as well as validating hypotheses by engaging with prospective forums e.g. industry associations, conference organizers. The person may also be required to go on the ground to identify new leads.
