Throughout the company's long history, its products can be seen and heard across all genres of music and in all segments of pop culture, from concert and theater stages to television and movies. It is now initiating strategic actions to grow brand awareness in the Peoples Republic of China (PRC).

Job Description

• Support distributor sales team with all products supplied to authorized dealers within the assigned territory.

• Visit dealers in the assigned territory on a regular basis as assigned.

• Assess and report on inventory levels and sell-through status for guitars and strings.

• Conduct in-store training on our products to retail sales associates and distributor personnel.

• Serve as a conduit of market information from dealers to the Director of Sales and our distributor.

• Write and send a weekly call-activity report covering activities and events which have taken place, and report any findings on our sales as well as relevant competitor and industry information.

• Significant travel required within assigned territory (up to 70%) to ensure complete coverage (visitation) of all accounts assigned by Director of Sales.

• Develop and improve under-performing stores by the ongoing assessment of existing dealers, identifying opportunities for sales growth and merchandising improvement, building a plan for corrective actions and taking an active role in developing solutions to identified challenges - training, merchandising, displays, product support, events etc.

• Specific, regular and ongoing retail training, factory-designed product knowledge sessions, and active solicitation of special event opportunities.

• To provide essential in-the-field product service including product maintenance & adjustment, cleaning, and merchandising.

• Observation and communication to the Company of specific competitive activities within the territory as well as communication of industry trends to the dealer.

• Regularly monitoring dealer inventory levels by providing accurate inventory information per location.

• Promotion of identified models by in-store demonstration and effective utilization of sample merchandise.

• Trade show, sales meeting, and dealer event attendance.

The Successful Applicant

• Language fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese

• Related sales support (minimum 2 to 5 years retail experience or equivalent) preferably within the music industry

• College degree preferred

• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to create dealer-specific content essential to illustrate dealer performance. Strong organizational and sales performance reporting skills.

• The proven ability to work independently in a minimally supervised environment.

• Higher functioning aptitude for use of popular computing tools (SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.)

• Specific experience and track record of building long lasting relationships and influencing positive outcomes with external customers ranging from store owners to key string, accessory and guitar buyers and their sales teams.

• Specific experience and track record of engaging and driving positive outcomes with internal teams in various positions ranging from distribution partner peers to VP of Global Marketing & Sales, Product Development and the Company President.
