I. Primary Purpose

Work with US / CIL Product development team, service providers & other Coach departments to develop and commercialize great products on time.



II. Key Responsibilities

1. Ensure products are developed and commercialized in accordance with design approval or provided detail from CIL development & engineering team.

2. Manage timeline for all types of sample: prototype, line presentation samples, engineering samples, confirmation samples...

3. Coordinate with costing team and service providers to ensure cost efficiencies on product, seek for cost saving opportunities on product without effecting aesthetic or functional quality of the product.

4. Lead a handover meeting to Quality Management and Country Manager to provide technical information, critical quality areas, special executions, long material lead time... right after completion of the development.

5. Update any necessary reports to the specified frequency and prepare all product Development reports. This will require frequent clear verbal and written communication with service providers and other CIL departments.

6. Is able to use Key System of development (PLM system)

7. Frequent travel within China is required

8. Can long term work in Philippines and factories.


III. Education & Experience Requirements



· Diploma or above degree and with at least 5 years of relevant experience in product development field preferable from handbags, leather goods, apparel, or footwear industries. Branded experience preferred.

· Pattern making, Product Development, Manufacturing experience in leather goods recommended.

· Ability to work in a collaborative team environment with multi- cultural members.

· Good computer skill.

· Excellent negotiation, communications and co-ordination skills and Strong communication skills in written and oral English.

· Self-motivated and able to work under pressure
