About the role
The China e-Commerce marketing manager is an integral member of the Gap China team, working with internal and external partners on day-to-day marketing planning, execution and store operation of Gap Tmall. The e-Commerce associate marketing manager reports to and works closely with the director of e-Commerce to lead the growth of Gap’s brand awareness on Tmall and other potential 3rd-party platforms.
What you'll do
Business & Financial:
- Responsible for marketing strategy development & execution for Gap@Tmall and other potential 3rd-party platforms.
- Develop Tmall marketing calendar aligned both with brand strategy and sales target and with Chinese digital ecosystem calendar and trends.
- Lead TP and agency to create and drive Tmall traffic (CPC,CPM etc..) meeting annual growth target with improved conversion rate and ROI.
- Deliver sales target of 3rd-party platform, understand site events and promotion objectives and timeline. Create and communicate detailed implementation schedules to cross functional partners and see through to on-time launch.
- Work with internal team and TP to execute day to day store operation including making promo calendar, register in platform’s eventsesources, promo execution, coupon strategy, communicate with platform’s teams via Dingding, etc,.
- Work with cross-functional team to execute Tmall campaigns to achieve best possible results including appropriate merchandise selection, level of promotional offer, creative development, marketing execution and after sales service.
- Represent Gap to achieve best possible support and resources by channel partners.
- Explore the opportunities of new events on Tmall and other platforms to bring incremental traffic and new consumer.
Reporting:
- Daily Tmall (or other channel) UV, conversion, sales report.
- Weekly Tmall performance report.
- Timely report on Tmall events’ performance and hindsight.
- Monthly report on Tmall store KPIs.
Leadership & Employees:
- Proactively seeks out opportunities to learn more about the new trend of Alibaba and Tmall. Uses knowledge to suggest new ideas and change to marketing initiatives.
- Manage and cooperate with internal teams and external agencies on planning and executions.
Who you are
- At least 8 years working experience related to ecom, apparel or fashion industry.
- Proofed experience in working with Tmall and other ecommerce platforms.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and achieve results with third party channel platform owners.
- Detailed understanding of third party channel sales levers, operations, promotion events and protocols.
- Highly detailed oriented, experience in project management and communication deliverables for multiple projects at any given time. Must be a team player.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- At least 4 years+ experience in Tmall marketing or operation with the annual online sales scale no less than 20 million USD
