About the role

Being led by Brand HR Head, working alongside the Regional Director, District management team and specific support functions, act as an HR Business Partner to be accountable for the creation and implementation of a commercial HR strategy at a Regional level. The key focus is to lead and support the development of people capability within the whole territory. Ensure KPIs are achieved through delivery of resourcing, training and development and a policy framework within which all employees operate.


What you'll do

  • Resourcing and Retention
  • Ensure detailed manpower plans exist in all areas of Regional and that there is a strong talent bench in the market.
  • Ensure there is a clear vision in the Regional of what a quality external candidate profile is embedding appropriate plans to raise and improve the standards of people through resourcing opportunities.
  • Create and implement strategies for retention of employees at all levels in partnership with Regional business leaders and under the guidance of Head of HR Field.
  • Drive performance management on a regional basis.

  • Reward and Recognition

    • Train and coach store and upper field leaders to ensure company policies and guidelines are properly executed to positively impact the productivity / quality / performance culture in the business.
    • Ensure effective pay management using the principles of pay for performance.
    • Drive the annual Rewards process under corporate guideline and ensure completion within timeline and budget.
  • Timely feedback the market and competitor information to C&B team.

  • Talent Management
  • Partner with L&D team to embed all existing resources and new L&D initiatives to meet the local needs.
  • Identify training needs across the region and partner with L&D team to deliver the solutions in field consistently.
  • Provide direct training in areas of specialist expertise to the field management team.
  • Partner with RD to lead and facilitate the Talent Review and Succession planning process by working with District/Area Managers. Maintain Regional Succession Plan tools and keep up to date quarterly.

  • Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Perform the role of ER consultant to Regional teams, managing the grievance and disciplinary procedure, where necessary handling complex ER cases.
  • Partner with HR functions and Legal team to ensure appropriate strategies and policies are developed and implemented effectively in the field.
  • Develop a climate, which motivates Gap people and delivers the highest standards of employee relations.
  • Review sickness and absence levels by store/districtegion providing solutions on an individual, district, regional level to achieve the overall business target.
  • Ensure legal compliance and provide training and education to ensure consistent implementation and professional standards.

  • Culture

  • Help all employees quickly adapt to company culture through NEO and all brand employees recognition programs and other related misc. activities.
  • Well-maintained working relationships to ensure harmonious, productive, and inclusive working environment across the region.
  • Structured communication plan and process is cascaded and implemented to reach all employees for HR related communications.

  • Other
  • Responsible for the management of the local HR team and build up their capabilities.
  • Project development – supports and leads a few key HR projects when assigned.
  • Work closely with Regional Director, Regional VM Manager and other District/Area management team.


Who you are

  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment legislation
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop partnership across teams, organizations and various levels of management;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet assigned timeline, able to work independently
  • Proven ability and high commitment in people development
  • Affinity with retail and field organization

  • Bachelor degree

  • At least 10 years in the overall HR generalist role in MNC
