Outline of the role

  

· Technical support for the development of new business in conjunction with regional applications, marketing and sales organization.

  

· Accountable to support and stimulate design wins in their target accounts

  

· Successfully builds relationship with customer R&D, test and other technical teams, to catch every design-in opportunity

  

· Actively follow up customer project design process, and take prompt response to project change and customer request to secure the win.

  

· Respond to ‘deep’ technical Logic&Protection/MOSFET customer requests in China. Travel will be expected.

  

· To provide technical and design-in support to the marketing department for selected customers (e.g. models, demo boards, development kits, technical documentation)

  

· Qualifies the value of our products (strengths versus competitive products) and quantifies the technical benefits derived from choosing Nexperia

  

  

Key Responsibilities

  

· Acting as the technical knowledge base for our Logic&Protection / MOSFET products

  

Customer support including:

  

· Contribute to reference designs based on application knowledge and customer input

  

- Provide customer input into technology capability roadmap

  

- Visit customers and provide technical training and/or design-in support

  

· Producing or adapting application notes and articles for publication

  

· Create regional-specific demos and marketing-support hardware

  

· Develop in depth technical understanding of our products and datasheet parameters.

  

· Support quality with application guidance & circuit analysis, travel will be necessary.

  

· Competitor technical product analysis, e.g. evaluate and report on in-circuit performance of competitor devices relative to our own products

  

  

Major Challenges of the Job

  

· Understanding customer requirements and providing appropriate technical responses

  

· Building solid engineering relationship, internally and externally.

  

· Dealing with multiple complex tasks often in a time pressured environment.

  

· Understanding and balancing the various aspects of industrial design philosophy required to ensure long-term design and product reliability, especially regarding automotive applications.

  

  

REQUIREMENTS

  

Experience and Qualifications

  

· Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering in an electronics or physics related subject

  

· Preferably with experience in the automotive industry

  

· Preferably with 5+ years’ experience in Mobile

  

  

Communication and technical skills

  

· Very good written & spoken English and Chinese.

  

· Capable of understanding any technical aspects of the system, from the customers’ application down to the product features and product development process

  

· Must have ability to perform lab characterization & problem solving

  

  

Personal attributes

  

· Clear communicator, capable of both detailed technical explanations as well as high-level management summaries

  

· Diplomatic & persuasive with customers

  

· Able to work collaboratively and maintain and develop long-term relationships
