Job description

Emptoris China Development Team is a strategic unit within the global R&D organization to develop and deliver high quality products and solutions to our customers across the world.
Software QA engineer will be responsible for the quality assurance of all Emptoris products/software solutions developed by the local team. This person will also work with global QA team on testing Chinese platform specific deliverables. Another key responsibility of this person to define the QA process which is part of the overall engineering process following Agile methodology, and come up with best practices to efficiently deliver high quality and high performance enterprise software products to our customers.
Responsibilities
• Analysis of business requirements, functional specifications, and design documents
• Write/develop QA Test plans, test cases and test automation scripts, and deliver highest quality software
• Develop and implement QA automation framework by using open source or commercial tools
• Perform functional testing, regression, accessibility, and performance testing
• Assist customers on UAT, communicate with customers as needed
• Track and accurately report defects and change requests
• Identify risks early on in projects, and communicate to management and engineering team
• Provide estimate for QA tasks
• Assist management team to define QA process and enforce the process
• Train/mentor new or junior members in the team
• Assist release engineering team on release management
Required Skills:
• A minimum of 3 years QA experience with enterprise software
• Understanding of software testing methodologies, full development life cycle, experience with Agile a plus
• Manual and Automated testing experience, including functional, UI, integration, and regression testing,
Experience with performance testing a plus
• Java applications environment experience
• Experience with automated testing tools a plus
• SQL experience (Oracle, MSSQL)
• Experience with release management and version control
• Domain knowledge (sourcing/supplier management, contract management, spend, etc.) a plus
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Capable of communicating in English
• BS in Computer Science or related fields
