Job description
This role executes the tasks required to fully test an IBM product or system to ensure it functions according to specifications and client requirements and meets the business needs. Testing activities cover all aspects of the product/system including function/component, performance, system, regression, and service.
Software Testers may set up test environments, design and plan testing activity, develop test cases/scenarios/use cases, and/or execute required testing, develop automation scripts. Testers also investigate problems uncovered during testing, recreating those problems as appropriate and executing fix validations. They provide feedback on usability, serviceability and documentation and report status to the appropriate audience. The employee Influences the functional strategy.

Specific Skills:
- Experience of testing highly available and fault tolerant distributed systems
- Solid hands-on knowledge of programming or scripting languages, like Java / Shell / Perl / Python.
- Working experience with different platforms: Windows; Linux etc.
- Ability to write clear and concise test cases.
- Experience logging/resolving defect issues using a tracking system.
- Experience in developing test plan
- Storage related experience and knowledge is plus
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills in English and in Chinese.
- Master degree in Computer Science and Electronic Engineering or equivalent
- 3 years + test experience
