Job description
IBM Innovation Center (www.ibm.com/isv/iic) is the hub for local Business Partner ecosystem. We help IBM Business Partners to build technology skills, develop innovative solutions, deliver client values, and more. We're now seeking for passionate technical experts and thought leaders to join this exciting team in helping build the Smarter Planet ecosystem through innovative technology and best-of-breed solutions, especially in the System z mainframe domain.
You will be responsible for:
- Provide Architectural support / consultation to key ISVs.
- Influence ISVs to adopt IBM core HW/SW platforms and latest initiatives in their development roadmap.
- Skills transfer to ISVs, via consultations, Technical briefings and workshops
- Guide ISV solution porting and enablement from open platform to z platform.
- Activities may include but not limited to Assessment, Proof of Concept, Porting, Validation, Testing, as well as Solution Architecture Consulting
- Actively promote IBM technology and offerings to the ISV/BP and developer community.
Required Skills:
3+ years experience in IT industry with rich application development or solution architect experience.
Solid industry knowledge in key industries such as finance, telecom, government, healthcare, etc.
Excellent skills in one or more of IBM SW/HW platforms with rich application experience, complex project experience is a plus.
Strong Communication skills
Bachelor's Degree in computer science or equivalent.
Fluent in English and Chinese.
And,
For Architect:
Understanding and mastering software engineering theory and how to apply them in real projects.
Well use some architecture methodologies for application architecture design stage such as SOMA for SOA projects, RUP, or GS method, and etc.
Good knowledge of business know how in specific industrial areas, for example core-banking, payment, telecom boss systems, etc.
Familiar with IBM Rational Software Architect-RSA utility to deliver architect work products.
Strong Communication skills, business insights, good project management skills and principles.
For Technical Consultant:
Good understanding of zSeries architecture and z/OS management knowledge.
Good experience in JES2, SDSF, ISPF, SMP/E, SMS, RACF is a preferred.
Good Experience in Unix System Services and TCPIP on z/OS
Skilled in DB2, WAS, CICS for z/OS(Good command on SPUFI and DB2 store procedures)
Experience in script writing, including REXX, CLIST and Shell is preferred;
Experience in Tivoli system monitoring and automation products on system z is preferred;
Good knowledge of Linux, zLinux is preferred; Experience in zVM is preferred.
