Job Description:

?Develop, implement and champion the quality management strategy and plans in conjunction with the Operations Manager to support and contribute to RTC’s quality requirements.

?Manage and develop the China QC inspectors to ensure their actions comply with the agreed RTC quality management procedures.

?Assist supply chain manager in the qualification of suppliers and OEM manufactures.

Responsibilities:

?Provide primary point of contact to help deal with QA and QC issues.

?Champion and improve existing quality procedures to surpass client’s minimum quality requirements.

?Plan and carry out ‘audits’ of all suppliers, including any required follow up visits to check and monitor the development of non-compliance issues.

?Record supplier non-conformances in order to monitor quality and performance levels at the factory. Ensure product quality is being delivered consistently in accordance with the specified requirements.

?Prepare and update QA manual and quality forms; control and supervise all amendments and revisions.

?Work with operations manager to assist in all customer complaints relating to quality issues.

?Check and monitor the factory’s QC procedures to ensure they are providing adequate quality inspection and documentation.

?Carry out regular meetings with the Project Managers and Operations Manager to advise on how the supplier can improve existing procedures and implement new processes to drive efficiency and best practice to therefore lower cost.

?Where applicable, ensure the verification of documentation and certificates for materials purchased by vendors, especially relating to special performance materials and possible hazardous materials.

?Maintain and grow own Quality Management expertise and quality team’s expertise.

Requirements:

?Degree in engineering, quality or other relevant discipline

?6-10 years quality experience, emphasis in metal, plastic, and manufacturing engineering highly beneficial

?4-6 years Quality Management experience with a proven track record of managing a quality team, ideally in office furniture, store fixture or similar

?Experience of setting up and maintaining ISO 9001:2000, 14000 or equivalent systems.

?Experience of TQM, 6 Sigma, etc would be an advantage.

?Excellent communication, problem solving and technical skills

?Must be fluent in English and Mandarin

?Based In Shanghai China.
