The company:

Based in Shanghai this leading high profile leader is seeking a new Merchandising Manager. You will be

The role include:


Drive and communicate merchandising strategies and business opportunities to achieve revenue and gross margin
Develop product segmentation strategies that best communicate the Puma Motorsports and Running positioning in theChina market
Partner with different functions to deliver the key seasonal initiatives along the GTM process with the retail

end in mind
Build a China line offering that optimizes line profitability and brand impact. Develop commercial product assortments to meet consumers' needs while meeting financial targets
Identify, prioritize and frame Chinese consumer insights as input into regional/global counterparts to inform andinfluence the product creation process. Provide qualitative information such as trends, colours, materials, fit, price/value needs of the China market
Lead and drive consumer motorsports and performance focus groups in order to gain better consumers insights
Identify business gaps and opportunities and create briefs for seasonally relevant SMUs, be able to stay focus and optimize the number of projects
Develop, coach and groom team members with team succession plan in mind

To be successful you will have:


At least 7 years working with a fashion/branded environment, sportswear is a plus
Degree holder with proven retail/merchandising working experience
Communicate with Impact - Possess strong listening, verbal and written communication skills
Team leader - ability to supervise part time and delegate tasks
A team player - work well with cross functional and own team
Good command of English
Ability to work under pressure and able to meet tight timelines
