Job description
GCG System POWER ATS AIX&Oracle Specialist is required to lead AIX&Oracle support in GCG. Around 30% travel time will be required. Candidate need to demonstrate leadership and could effectively communicate with worldwide and location teams to roll out new initiative, handle complex account situation and to winback against competition with passion.
Candidate should be a well rounded individual who has excellent AIX as well as Oracle DB expertise, have good understanding of Exadata and demonstrate consultative skills to promote POWER system for Oracle Database. Candidate must also have good knowledge of the competitive marketplace for Exadata, good customer facing skills and very good presentation skills.
Candidate will be responsible for pre-sales technical support, new solution promotion, architecture design, solution demo, proof of concept, benchmark tests and major account client satisfaction issue handling etc. In addition, ATS is also responsible for advanced technical skills enablement for IBM technical community, including FTSS, SA, BP etc. Good team work among peers, location teams, sales teams and management team is important.
Skill Requirement :
At least 5 years experience on Oracle Database admin/performance tuning or application development on Oracle Database
At least 5 years experience on UNIX or Linux experience is required?
In-depth or hands-on experience in the following areas:
- AIX / Windows / Linux / HP-UX / Solaris
- Oracle database/RAC admin
- Oracle database performance tuning
- SQL level tuning
- Application development on Oracle
- Exadata
- Competitive Analysis skills
Good command of Mandarin and English (both written and spoken)
Good communication skills and strong leadership
Good Consultative Skills
Ability to work independent and as a part of team
Development laboratory or other application developer experience is a plus.
Working experience in Global or Cross-country role is a plus.
