DB2 database server on Linux, Unix and Windows(http://www-01.ibm.com/software/data/db2/linux-unix-windows/) is used daily by millions of users in the Fortune 1000. Join some of the world's leading scientists and engineers in cutting-edge development. Our development team produces an exceptional volume of high-quality, creative code and produces a large number of patents every year. DB2 is made up of many different complex software components. The candidate for this position is required to do continue engineering(level 3 support) for highly complex, highly functional, and optimally performing DB2 server on Linux, Unix and Windows. The candidate will have chance to touch key technologies(DB2 architecture, compiler/optimizer, runtime, pureXML, storage etc) of this flagship product and work with world wide world class team to deliver support to world wide customers and improve product quality.
This will be a very good opportunity for candidates who are interested in master key technology, big system design, challenging programming and involve a full breadth of database server and deep OS system knowledge. The candidate should gain an excellent grasp of the techniques involved in design and developing highly complex, highly functional and optimally performing system software.
Job requirements:
- Bachelor or Master degree major in Computer Science or related
- Excellent communication skill;
- Excellent written/spoken English;
- Interested in level 3 support(trouble shooting, identify and fix code issues from customer reported issues, design and implement product quality improvement features)
- Has rich experience in software development, strong technical skills on C/C++ programming language;
- Good knowledge and experience with database server will be a strong plus
- Experienced on Unix/Linux platforms
- Experienced with DB2 and Clearcase will be a plus;
