Overall Description
IBM Sales Transaction Hub(STH) is a department which supply with a "hub" function to integrate the works of IBM sales and IBM internal align functions, to efficient and streamline the process of the tender response, proposal development, contract development till the project delivery;
Bid manager is a role which need to "leads" the bid team, interfacing with sales team (multiple brands & industry sales), internal align functions(pricing, legal, quality assurance, supply chain, business and technical resource, etc.) and STH internal align support teams (standard bid manager, proposal, contract, etc.), to deliver a Proposal, or Solution or Contract to the clients according to IBM business rules and standard processes, before the required due time w/ high quality;
STH Contract Specialist: This role operates as the contract terms and conditions expert in terms of commercial contracts. He or she will support sellers to develop customer contracts and facilitate IBM internal approvals in contract management until contract release to customer.
Job description
Provide recommendation on customer contract structure when regarding to contractual legal aspects.
Understand customer business request and how to manage it inside of IBM contracts
Validate in IBM system of specific customer content and engage IBM legal and other related parties for approvals
Understand tax implications and give professional advise related to contract
Daily Activities:
Execute contract management plan
Define the contract structure according to business requirement
Ensure compliance with all relevant aspects of Solution design and Delivery process, business control, reviews and approval requirements.
Understands what is required to develop the contractual document in IBM Upside system or legacy systems
Initiates transition to delivery and perform appropriate updates in case of contract changes.
Monitor contract production including formatting and printing
Skill:
This role should be able to leverages legal or contract management, professional operation skill to work with sales team and other pre-sales teams to engaged on complex, wide scope (including wide geographic scope), high risk deals, w/ multi-brands (Hardware, software and service)
At least 3 to 5 years working experience is a must, experience on business operation, commercial contract management, legal, contract and negotiation. IT company experience is preferred;
Experience in Multi-national Enterprise or fortune 500 is preferred. The ability to quickly adapt with complex communication environment under matrix organization culture will be specially considered;
Degree in Legal is preferred.
High communication skill is required on multiple communication ways, like verbal, email, meeting (even across countries);
Fluent English on verbal, listening, reading and writing;
