About the role

OVERVIEW

This Senior Financial Analyst role manages the expenses associated with our China Distribution Center. This role is responsible for partnering with key multi-functional teams such as DC Operations, Strategic Sourcing, and Retail Finance to create, drive, and execute key strategies to achieve financial goals.

Key responsibilities in this role include, but are not limited to managing: monthly forecast, month-end close reporting, execution of account reconciliations, annual budget, cost savings / optimization projects and other ad hoc projects.

The successful candidate will have strong skills in the areas of accounting, finance, and financial reporting. S/he will also have strong written and oral communication skills and can develop effective relationships with business partners across the organization at various levels of leadership.

This position reports to the Asia Logistics Finance Manager and into the broader Global Supply Chain finance team.

ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP

What you'll do

• Engage and establish partnerships across multi-functional teams to manage forecast, budget, and close activities
• Own the China Distribution Center monthly forecast and month end reporting
• Facilitate and participate in meetings with business partners across brands and functions
• Regularly engages with leadership at the Director and Senior Director levels
• Build effective relationships with business partners to execute finance initiatives
• Demonstrates the ability to manage competing priorities and shift resources to meet the needs of the business
• Demonstrates the ability think innovatively to drive cost efficiencies and savings

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive China DC strategy by providing financial thought leadership, analyses, and counsel in this fast-paced environment
• Lead all aspects of financial management for China DC
• Evaluate current processes, tools and reporting to improve accuracy, drive efficiencies, and incorporate new concepts.
• Manage monthly forecast, close and annual budget for areas of responsibility
• Facilitate monthly roundtable meetings with cross functional business partners.
• Perform queries and uploads into financial systems
• Develop, maintain effective relationships with cross functional partners
• Act as the business expert for China DC for GSC Finance to support operating decisions

Who you are

KEY EXPERIENCES

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, MBA and/or CPA a plus
• Established knowledge of accounting/financial principles and theory
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; spoken and written English fluency
• 5+ years of experience in a financial analysis position
• Experience with Oracle / Essbase financial system
• Extensive experience budgeting, forecasting, closing, and reporting
• Proven analytical ability, financial modeling and creative problem solving skills
• Strong attention to detail, follow up, and sense of urgency
• Proven ability to maintain composure and professional maturity in a stressful environment
• Proven ability to work with large volumes of data and shift focus as needed from granular data mining to recapping findings at an executive level
• Proven ability to hold self, team and business partners accountable
