BU Description
Business Transformation and Services (BT&S) team in IBM China Development Lab (CDL) belongs to IBM Cooperate Information Office (CIO). The BT&S team was built in 2003 with the goal to provide development services for IBM end-to-end process transformation, IT systems integration and application innovation across IBM. The team committed to build applications by leveraging leading-edge technology products and services to yield innovation that matters. With 9 years' growth, the team has involved in the development of several key applications responsible for globalizing and simplify the web experience while increasing self-service capabilities for our clients; enabling seller and developer productivity through enhanced seller tools; automating business processes; and showcasing IBM technology. BT&S team's priorities are focused on demonstrating the value of software business transformation, closing the gaps in capabilities to run the distributed and zSeries software business, enabling Partner programs and demonstrating an SOA framework on large-scale production.
IBM CDL BIDS(Business Intelligence Development Services) is a sub team of BT&S and we are supporting the IBM CIO value chain applications which created significant contribution to IBM business. The team focused on the design and implementation of IBM internal data warehouse, decision support system and sales performance management systems.
Job Responsibilities
Work on business intelligence applications development and will analyze business requirement and translate it into technical implementation.
- Work as a Cognos Report Developer, develop Cognos reports with Query Studio and Report Studio,Analysis Studio, Business Insight etc.
- Work as a Cognos Modeller, develop Cognos package using Framework Manager and Transformer.
Job Requirements (skills/experiences/Qualifications)
Skills requirement:
- Solid knowledge of Cognos 10 components - Cognos Report Studio, Analysis Studio, Business Insight, Framework Manager and Transformer
- Solid knowledge of SQL
- Be familiar with Cognos TM1, is a plus
- Be familiar with Java, JavaScript, HTML, Java EE, Struts, design patterns, other popular frameworks experience, is a plus
- Be familiar with IBM products, such as DB2, WebSphere, is a plus
- Have reports development experience with other BI Report Tools, is a plus.
- Strong software engineering, project management knowledge & experience
- Bachelor or master degree in computer science or equivalent experience
- Excellent written/spoken communication skills in English
