Job Description
Assist China Indirect Tax Manager for IBM's indirect tax internal and external compliance. Specifically, the Tax Advisor will be:
Responsible for reviewing indirect tax calculation and reconciliations prepared by accounting team.
Support China Indirect Tax manager to monitor execution of indirect tax end to end processes.
In charge of guiding and monitoring tax compliance for IBM branch offices across China.
Support Indirect tax SOX testing for all China legal entities and compliance testing for branch offices.
Assist in dealing with Tax and Customs authorities' queries as well as assessments and tax audits in indirect tax area.
Provide practical advice to the business, supporting functions on financial and tax operational issues.
Required Skills
A minimum of 4 years relevant experience in tax environment, including substantial experience with a Big Four Firm or reputable MNC;
Thorough knowledge and experience in China tax law and practices;
Rich experience in tax compliance;
Thorough knowledge of business controls in a tax environment;
Able to translate technical decisions /strategies into business terms and implications.
Must be able to prioritize, multi-task, and take ownership of the projects.
Ability to drive to achieve desired results.
Good written and verbal English & Chinese communication skills.
