Job description
IBM Greater China Systems and Technology Laboratory (CSTL), the only IBM Systems and Technology Group (STG) development lab in China, was established in 2004. CSTL has been involved in the development and research of all key products of STG. In addition to the independent development of System x server and Chip Set in hardware area, we have also contributed in software development including operating system, firmware, cross platform system management, storage system software, High Performance Computing and IBM middleware that are integrated in operating system. We have also worked on IBM p server, i server, mainframe z server, blade center system, various disk array products, and fiber network storage product. After the phenomenal growth in recent years, we now have more than 1500 engineers in Beijing, Shanghai, Taipei, Wuxi and Xi'an laboratories.
Job Description
This Position is CSTL IT Leader who'll be responsible for leading CSTL IT team to provide support to development teams and ensure IT security compliance.
Plan, design, implement and maintain IT infrastructure in CSTL sites, including network, voice, printing services, etc.
Manage daily IT operations and IT spending (capital and expense)
Develops, owns and implements IT security processes and provide education and guidance as needed.
Develops, owns and implements IT Fixed Asset, Workstation Asset and Software Asset processes and provide education and guidance as needed. Includes planning, purchasing, distribution and general management.
Manages capital purchasing process including working with STG stakeholder teams.
Maintain satisfied IT business control posture, including IT security, development controls, fixed assets controls, license compliance, etc.
Performs IT security and other Business Controls compliance testing and develops detailed report on results
Review and support special IT requirements from development teams
Required Skills
Solid technical knowledge and rich support experience on IT infrastructure
Hands on skills in computer network and AIX/Linux systems; related certification is a plus
Strong business sense and good process management skills
Strong problem solving skills.
Experience with cloud computing is a strong plus.
Skills on VMware / ESX server are strong plus.
Project management skill is a strong plus
Proactive, good interpersonal, logical thinking, analytical skills
Good teamwork, flexible, responsible and willing to work overtime.
Excellent communication skills in both Chinese and English.
MS or BS degree, major in Computer Science or equivalent
