Job description
GMU ATS HPC Platform Computing Specialist who needs to support IBM's efforts within the High Performance Computing marketplace within the growth countries. Up to 50% travel time will be required. Candidate need to demonstrate strong leadership and could effectively bridge IBM worldwide HPC resources and location teams to roll out new initiative, handle complex account situations and to win back against competition with passion.
Candidate should have in-depth technical skills and thorough understanding of
Platform Computing Software and Hardware solutions especially Platform's capability to integrate and manage HPC hardware systems from multiple competitive vendors. In addition, candidate should be very familiar with Power HPC, x86 HPC, Storage solution and HPC System Software, including AIX, Linux, LoadLeveler, GPFS, MPI-CH, Parallel Environment, ESSL, XCAT etc.
Candidate should have good understanding of HPC Solutions and should be able to design HPC architecture based on IBM, 3rd parties or Open Source applications.Candidate need to have solid understanding of HPC application and parallel programming involving FORTRAN, C/C++, Java, shell script, OpenMP, MPI and Profiling Tools. Candidate with strong industry specific HPC package experience is also preferred.Candidate will be responsible for pre-sales technical support, new solution promotion, sizing / architecture design, solution demo, proof of concept, benchmark tests and major account client satisfaction issue handling etc. In addition, GMU ATS is also responsible for advanced technical skills deployment at GMU countries,including local ATS, FTSS, SA, BP etc. Good team work among peers, location teams, sales teams and management team is important.
Required Skill:
Have 5+ years working experience on IBM System x and/or BladeCenter products. With 2+ years working experience in Global or Cross-country role
Development laboratory or application developer experience is preferred
In-depth or hands-on experience in the following area:
- IBM Power System HPC server
- IBM System x / BladeCenter HPC server
- IBM BlueGene Server is preferred
- IBM Storage Server
- IBM HPC Software (LoadLeveler, GPFS, MPI-CH, Parallel Environment, ESSL,XCAT etc.)
- Application Development Tools (FORTRAN, C/C++, Java, shell script)
- Knowledge of parallel programming, optimization and profiling (MPI, OpenMP,Hypbrid)
- Knowledge of Industry Specific HPC package
- Competitive Analysis skills
Good communication skills and strong leadership
Good Consultative Skills
Demonstrate solid leader role in previous project engagement or position
Ability to work independent and as a part of team
Required
Bachelor's Degree
At least 5 years experience in experience in Platform Computing and / or IBM System x and/or BladeCenter products
At least 2 years experience in experience in Global or Cross-country role
At least 10 years experience in Local Market Experience
At least 2 years experience in Global Market Experience
