JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Lead and administer the Test Engineering Organization at a Jabil Operation
1.1. Recruit, interview and hire personnel for key positions within the organization. Monitor turnover, identify factors for improvement and facilitate improvements.
1.2. Offer professional development opportunities to staff members. Identify and prepare career development plans and assist in setting quarterly goals. Create succession plans for Test Management positions. Provide professional support and direction.
1.3. Establish clear and measurable goals by which to determine individual and team results. Drive individuals to continuously improve in key operational metrics. Solicit feedback from key team members on individual contribution. Evaluate individuals professionally and on time. Ensure recognition and rewards are distributed fairly and consistently.
1.4. Schedule forums for the exchange of information and ideas with the organization. Present verbal and written ideas clearly and professionally. Encourage input from the organization.
2. Support the operation's business strategy
2.1. Know the strategic direction of the operation and implement Test Engineering strategies that contribute to the success of the operation.
2.2. Actively participate in the development of new business by providing technical expertise and quotations when necessary.
2.3. Coordinate the activities of others to keep them focused, especially during critical times. 9.2.4. Identify opportunities for cost reduction.
3. Support the development and implementation of new test technology
3.1. Develop and encourage strong relationships with suppliers that allow early access to new technologies.
3.2. Explore new technology trends in the industry. Encourage the exploration, experimentation, and implementation of new technology by members of the organization.
3.3. Encourage innovation amongst staff.
4. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
4.1. Promote and educate awareness and compliance of policies and standards with staff.
5 Have the responsibility of choosing non-toxic or low- toxic material , low noise and energy saving and safe production machines .
6 Repair & maintain and check safety protective equipment; and ensure it in good condition.
7 Must consider environmental & safety & health issues when initiating a new project or new product or new production line.
8 Wear right PPE and operate safety, attend occupational disease medical examination, fire drill and EHS training.
9 Identify and sort waste in a way.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
1 Four-year degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent; 7 or more years of experience in the electronics manufacturing industry plus 2 years of supervisory experience.
2 Knowledge of various levels of testing (ICT, Functional, ESS, System Level) and of the entire process flow for PCB integration and System Integration.
3 Knowledge of electronics hardware (Computers, Networking, Optics, RF, Power, DSP) and computer software (Assembly, C, LabWindows/CVI, LabView, Database).
4 Candidate will possess strong communication skills, leadership, business analysis, process development, administration, and change management.
5 Ability to work and travel based on specific job requirements.
