Location:Shanghai City, China
Summary of Position:This position is responsible for planning, directing, and monitoring theactivities of the sales team within Greater China region to achieve establishedsales targets. Greater China is geographically defined as China, Hong andTaiwan.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Develop sales strategies and work plans to increase customer base andmarket share. Manage the activities ofregional sales force in order to implement the organisation’s overall salesstrategy
2. Provide marketintelligence and information relevant for product development, sales andmarketing strategies
3. Prepare salesforecasts and budgets. Expand sales order intake and revenues and monitor salesrelated costs against forecasts
4. Manage theday-to-day activities of sales team. Manage the performance of the sales team within Greater China regionand re-allocate resources to improve overall results
5. Plan investment andresources required to meet sales goals and objectives
6. Provide guidanceand direction to sales representatives, in terms of technical knowledge, salesapproach and industrial standards
7. Contribute to the development of sales,marketing, customer retention, advertising, pricing and distribution strategiesfor the region
8. Oversee sales support activities such as ordermanagement, customer service, invoicing and credit and collections to ensurethat customer orders are processed, dispatched, invoiced and paid accuratelyand on time
9. Coach sales representatives on the technicalaspects of the organisation’s products and services; on marketing campaigns andsales promotions; and on sales techniques, procedures and standards that willhelp them to achieve their sales targets
10. Functional responsibility to Asia Pacific CFOfor the financial affairs of the China legal entity as defined in the Company’sDelegation of Authority
Knowledge and SkillRequirements:
1. Degreein Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
2. Minimum15 years of relevant experience, preferably in Thermo/Refrigeration industry
3. Proventrack record in business development up to EUR 30 million sales revenue
4. Resultoriented and technical problem solving
5. Entrepreneurship,leadership appeal, teambuilding, self-confidence and inquisitiveness to futurebusiness opportunities
6. Fluencyin written and spoken English
