1.     Introduction

1.1   Purpose

This Statement of Work (SOW) will provide the specifications and responsibilities of qualified candidates (contractor cell test engineer) working in GPS battery testing lab. This SOW provides the details which are necessary to insure the selected vendor can provide the outlined service and technical work to meet the requirement in a skilled and timely manner. This SOW will ask the supplier to provide the best possible cost efficiencies as well as encourage consistent, world-class deliverables.

In addition to above purpose, this SOW also describes a package that a qualified candidate is supposed to be provided.

1.2   Background

Qualified engineering services in GM China GPS battery testing lab for cell test engineer position required expertise skills in technical area such as basic electro-chemistry knowledge and Lithium-ion battery testing skills.

2.     Specifications

Below are the specifications to required skill for a cell testing engineer. A candidate should be regard as “qualified” if he/she meets the spec.

?     College degree or above in Electrochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Engineering or related field

?     Understand test request and test standards or specifications

?     Proficiency in test data processing and analysis

?     Experience in testing or lab related work.

?     Good writing and oral communication skills in English

?     Good PC skills, email, MS Office software

 

 

Below are the major responsibilities cell test engineer.

?     Conduct the cell testing according to the request of lab customer. Plan the test based on the customer’s request. Complete the test in time safely with quality. Present the test result on Global meeting in need. Submit evaluation reports in time.

?     Develop, modify and validate the new test method by the request from test requestor.

?     Develop and modify and validate cell test related documents in need, including test scripts, test guide books, data analysis tools, data sheets and so on. 

?     Record and report the deviation findings during the cell testing to lead test engineer. Conduct the root cause on the issues.

?     Record and report the test software and hardware issues to the responsible person.

?     Take a part in quality improvement, safety corrective, and 5S activity.
