职位描述
1 Position Summary:
This position is responsible for leading the training, implementation and adherence to the Quality Operating System within the DGfacility including all systems, processes, and procedures. Works in alignment with the Corporate Quality strategic direction with emphasis on design, supplier, and process capability. Drives Operational Excellence through continuous improvement initiatives. This position requires leadership and mentoring skills. Must be capable of working with minimal supervision.
2 Essential Functions:
People
· Lead both salary and hourly personnel in achievement of objectives and their own personal development. Talent management to include ongoing organizational design evaluation, talent acquisition, daily task/project management, performance management, and resolution of escalated employee concerns.
· Motivate all employees through encouragement, development, training, and open communications
· Develop and maintain a staff that takes responsibility for actions to address and improve on the metrics they report on - improving the performance and the results of the operations
· Serve as core team member of facility staff to assist in achievement of overall facility objectives as well as development and execution of the facility strategic plans
· Communicate with local and senior leadership in regards to quality. This communication would include escalation of internal or external quality/process issues, updates on quality objective performance, quality system improvement progress, and potential roadblocks to success
Processes
· Ensure the quality specifications of all products being manufactured are being met
· Lead significant continuous process improvement projects using Six Sigma tools, Lean Manufacturing concepts, statistical methodologies, and project management skills
· Develop, recommend and maintain critical quality indices that link to established quality standards including that of Global Quality Scorecard
· Lead local supplier efforts including incoming material inspection, material review board, statistical capability tools, supplier audits, and supplier performance metrics
· Leads and implements real time statistical quality techniques to monitor and control manufacturing and service processes
· Ensure the APQP deliverables are met for New Product or Process Introductions to ensure the effective transfer of products both in and out of the facility
· Support defining processes to ensure optimal performance of equipment including preventive and real time maintenance through MTBF statistical tools
Systems
· Designs, develops and integrates a Quality Operating System including systems, processes, training and procedures that are essential for short and long term continuous improvement
· Manages ongoing improvement and compliance to standardized quality systems (ISO 9001, etc.) including maintenance of core quality processes. These processes would include internal audits, controlled documentation, calibration, corrective/preventative action, and nonconforming material
· Prepare Quality operational metrics for review on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis supporting annual objective setting, planning, and the visibility to the results throughout the year
· Identify and drive continuous improvement actions/processes impacting customer satisfaction, process efficiencies, and supplier performance
· Implement a monthly review processes to highlight new product / program launch status
· Establish and maintain a proactive, efficient Quality Service organization supporting the operational needs of the organization and the forward model requirements of new/transferred programs. This would include facilitation and execution of process/product FMEAs, validation plans, and necessary improvements prior to full release
· Design and lead quality training efforts that link to local and global business strategies
· Responsible for departmental budget, expenditures, and wage / position / promotional recommendations
3 Additional Responsibilities:
· Maintain established metrics and deliver reports to management as required
· Maintain a close relationship to the factory floor including people, supplier and processing issues
· Participates in special diversified QA projects as required.
4 Education, Knowledge, Skills, Training, and Experience:
· Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required. Degree in engineering or other technical field strongly preferred. MBA a plus
· Minimum of 10 years quality management experience required. This experience should include proven strong interpersonal and talent management skills
· Strong background in statistical techniques and application is required
· A working understanding of the APQP process and its deliverables is required.
· Experience with Lean Manufacturing and its implementation preferred
· ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence strongly preferred
· Minimum of one year of Six Sigma experience required. Green or Black Belt strongly preferred
· Prior Experience in forward model Design and/or Process/Manufacturing engineering in SMD, PCBA, Stamping, Injection Molding, and Test is preferred
· Excellent oral and written communication skills including ability to work cross functionally and cross culturally. Excellent English oral and written comprehension is necessary
· Ability to reduce complex concepts into simplified forms and educate others on those concepts
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
· Working knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Statistical software tools (Minitab) required.
