Job Description:

This is an outstanding opportunity to get exposure to Software & Services business of Intel. As SSG PRC Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst, you will act as a full partner in making and supporting business decisions for SSG's investments in PRC and APAC. You will be responsible for driving standard budgeting and planning tasks, enforcing risk management and controls agenda, and supporting SSG's programs on the local markets. Very close engagement with business partners is essential component of this role.
Financial Planning and Analysis responsibilities cover various SSG divisions represented in PRC, APAC, and IJKK, plus some worldwide processes. These responsibilities include:
- Driving the POR and PLAN processes, assisting divisional management in resource allocation decisions.
- Leading the monthly Close process to reconcile actual hc/spending to target and projection, providing variance explanations to SSG Central
- Reviewing Close results with business partners to make sure spending is optimized and required action is taken to address variances.
- Supporting semi-annual and quarterly Capital planning and settlement process for Engineering Computing Capital, Operations Capital and Strategic Capital. This is done on a worldwide scale with international business partners.
- Attending regional department staff meetings, providing regular hc/spending updates, taking advantage of the meetings to gain biz knowledge and reinforcing finance agenda.

Controls & Proficiency:
- Enforce controls and risk management across different spending categories to ensure compliance with Intel guidelines, regional approval guidelines, and regional regulatory requirements.
- Enforce signature authority guidelines
- Deliver trainings on finance processes to business teams as appropriate.
- Standardize and optimize process work flows and explore cash saving opportunities.
- Monitor/Maintain high lab space efficiency
- Participate in periodical SSG fixed asset audits and risk assessments.

Programs:
- Keep track of local programs, profitability and spending, provide suggestions on program efficiency
- Ensure correct accounting classification of Cost-Of-Sales/BTI/Capital in compliance with accounting guidelines.
- Driving monthly cash settlement and revenue recognition process for revenue-generating initiatives.
- Conducting regular audit of programs, spending to make sure proof of performance is well documented and risks are well mitigated.


Qualifications:

You must possess a degree in Economics or Finance. Successful candidate would have strong analytical skills and ability to summarize key results/issues. Previous exposure to budgeting and planning would be an advantage. Other requirements include:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Fluent English plus ability to effectively communicate with international partners on the phone
- Ability to work as a team player, and in ambiguous circumstances
- Good knowledge of Excel* and other Microsoft Office* applications
