Objectives:
? Lead research and innovations communications for Asia/ Pacific by developing and implementing communications plans in close cooperation with the Regional Research Representative, Global Research Communications, Corporate Communications Asia/Pacific, R&D teams, Industry Teams, Research Executive Team
? Focus specifically on linking the research and innovation community with the internal and external scientific community, business and industry teams as well as with the communication community in Asia Pacific and the global research communications unit

Main Tasks:
? Develop a communications strategy for the effective implementation of an research and innovation spirit in and link it with all relevant functional and business units as well as the industry teams
? Consult and advise the Regional Research Representative in on all communications matters for research and innovations
? Identify key R&D stories as well as key messages and develop respective communication material for internal and external communications
? Leverage stories and utilize internal communication vehicles to increase image of research as well as identification of research employees, especially contribute to internal global research communications platform
? Use the existing communication channels including online platforms to deliver innovation related topics to internal and external target audiences. Cooperate closely with global research communications as well as respective units within the communications community.
? Contribute to Innovation Communication initiatives and implement in the region with support of regional and country Corporate Affairs Teams
? Position as an innovation and thought leader on R&D topics in A/P media and exposing R&D executives to relevant academic stakeholder groups in Asia Pacific
? Cooperate closely with global research communications as well as respective units within the communications community.
? Compose speeches, briefings and presentations for senior research representatives
? Participate in the Asia Pacific Com Leadership Team and support people development within the team in terms of skills, motivation and engagement

Requirements:
? Education: Master degree or above, preferably in Natural Sciences, Marketing, Communications or Business Management
? Working Experience: 5-8 years working experience in public relations, and marketing or communication areas, preferably with transferable experience in other industries, such as expert marketing within in an international environment desirable
? Technical & Professional Knowledge:
? Excellent creative and conceptual abilities (planning, analytical, creative, client and goal-oriented)
? Willingness for working hands-on, while able to lead and influence global, regional and local counter-parts
? High sense of intercultural orientation, communication and interpersonal understanding
? Excellent organizational awareness
? Flexibility to travel in and out of the region
? Excellent English language skills, Chinese is a plus
