About Our Client

Our client is an established design, developer and manufacturer of water heater equipment with a history of innovation, creativity and outstanding achievements. They have market leading products and services, which require to be continuously improved and developed.

Job Description

• Oversee, develop, coordinate and implement quality control objectives and activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize cost.


• Develop long-range corrective measures through root-cause analysis.


• Provide accurate and timely data to management regarding quality concerns.


• Design and implement control plan/inspection routings.


• Supervise machine and gauge capability studies.


• Keep local management abreast of progress, developments & pending problems.


• Manage and implement quality audits of production and operations.


• Respond to line calls with immediate corrective action.


• Lead change and coordinate problem solving efforts with respective personnel.


• Effectively communicate corrective action to customers, present data and drive process changes to improve quality in the assembly process .


• Implement good housekeeping practices (5S).


• Write and distribute quality data and reports.


• Maintain overtime and attendance records for hourly direct reports.


• Lead special projects as required (Kaizen, Lean implementation).


• Promote the High Performance Culture in area of responsibility, and live the letter and the spirit of the Integrity Code.

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 years' experience working in a Quality department within a manufacturing environment.


• 3 years' working experience in Heating & Cooling industry


• Technical background within manufacturing. Experience with Product Engineering is strongly preferred.


• Experience managing supplier quality in the region in cooperation with plants and purchasing and SQM organizational development.


• Strong experience with root cause analysis, problem solving / 8D investigation methods and process improvement techniques.


• Proven ability to lead effective corrective action using disciplined problem solving methods and statistical analysis.


• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese.


• Possess strong attention to detail, problem solving and organizational skills.


• Results driven with focus on completing assigned tasks on time.


• Experience working with a diverse group of people and be a strong and dependable team player.


• Experience working in a global matrix environment is preferred.
