The Commodity manager, Asia is responsible for the sourcing and management of assigned commodities.  The management of these commodities and the suppliers they represent will be conducted in alignment with business expectations as outlined by the Director of Asia.  This leadership position will also give day to day guidance to designated buyers.   Reports to the Director of Asia.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage all aspects of the assigned commodity

Lead Negotiator on assigned commodity

Give guidance and intelligence to the business at large on market conditions

Research and qualify new suppliers

Lead sourcing activity on assigned commodity

Conduct and report on quarterly business review with suppliers 

Maintain and manage total costs in line with business goals

Challenge supplier status quo on price points

Work with other commodity managers on leverage buys and opportunities

Manage Inventory levels of assigned commodities to set metrics

Manage and dispose of E & O

Achieve cost savings in line with outlined metrics
