POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the creation of the artwork on packaging, labeling and product for new design and developed medical device. Also responsible for the development of the product IFU from concept through to full production. Being the single accountable person, work closely with the NDP (New Product Development) project teams, together with PM, Legal, Marketing, Regulatory personnel and R&D, etc., to ensure the artwork and IFU satisfying the marketing and regulatory requirements, and meet the project schedule and cost targets.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Support product brand architecture confirming and approval process.
2. Manage artwork design and creation from concept through to production.
3. Manage IFU development, translations into multiple languages, and the final printing or CD creation.
4. Conduct design reviews with the cross functional teams and suppliers to ensure all Medtronic specifications are met.
5. Coordinate artwork / IFU implementation to ensure that all requirements and deadlines are met, including: graphic design, translation, documentation release, and vendor proof approval.
6. Interface with print vendors and purchasing to ensure correct source files are delivered to vendor and proofs are ordered on a timely basis.
7. Route ECOs (electronic change orders) for all artwork / IFU changes and obtain cross functional approvals to release final design in Agile system.
8. Support PPAP qualification of artwork and IFU.
9. Ensure the deliverables meet the project schedule, quality and cost targets.

EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 4 years industrial graphics design experience. Medical industry experience preferred.

EDUCATION:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Art or Engineering
2. Proficient in industrial graphic design using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator.
3. Proficient (Bilingual) in English and Mandarin writing, reading, and speaking.
4. Solid proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

JOB COMPETENCIES:
1. Coordinate and gather input for artwork and IFU content from Engineering, Marketing, Clinical, Regulatory, and Quality, etc. to create and update artwork design, IFUs in multilingual and supplemental formats.
2. Ability to review and approval final artwork and IFU delivery.
