LEM China is the most important production site of the LEM Group, counting today almost 800 employees. LEM China activities cover Research & development, Sales, Production, Supply chain, Purchasing, Industrial engineering, Quality, and Logistics activities as well as support functions. LEM China is a global plant selling about half of its production outside China. The LEM China plant is ISO 9001, ISO/TS 22163, ISO TEC 17025, IATF 16949, ISO 14001 certified and is regularly audited by global customers.

Job Description

Lead, direct, and control both the day-to-day activities and the middle term initiatives to reach the plant objectives in term of Cost optimization (including stock management), Service level and Quality
l In this perspective, assure close cross-functional collaboration more specifically with Sales, Purchasing, Quality, R&D, and Human Resources
l Provide overall leadership and guidelines to your direct reports responsible for Production, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering and Maintenance
l In the frame of the Group Strategies, deploy the next level of LEAN and 6 Sigma methodologies for strengthening the culture of excellence in the operations organization
l In tight collaboration with the R&D and the Quality managers, contribute actively to the industrialization of new products and to successful ramp-up
l Under the coordination of the Group Functions, contribute to develop the LEM operations strategy in term of automation, standardization, production system, etc.
l Establish the operating and investments budgets and monitor the different related financial KPIs
l Ensure to work in line with worldwide industry best practices and continuously benchmarking and upgrading the standards
l Monitor and review implementation of global health and safety standards to ensure full compliance with China legislation and LEM's best practices.

The Successful Applicant

l Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electronics or Production Engineering, MBA or equivalent is a plus
l Minimum 10 years of experience in a managerial position within a high volume - automotive / mechatronics-like -production environment leading a total team size of more than 500 people
l Knowledge of state of the art methodology of Operations management
l Successful track record in international companies is a must; used to work in matrix organization, international working experience a strong plus
l Team player, at ease with cross-functional collaboration and multi-cultural environment
l Very familiar with all the modern methodologies for managing mass production and supply chain (lean and 6 Sigma tools, Industry 4.0 concept, etc.)
l Fluent in English, fluent or good level of Chinese
l Team player with high level of motivation and communication skills, able to convince
l High level of expectation to own behavior, performance and results
l Outstanding analytical and conceptual competences, high problem-solving competency, pragmatic, with hands-on and results-oriented mentality
l Good business sense and high customer orientation
