职位描述
Our client, a well established Global Logistics Company is now looking for a General Manager to join their team. The incumbent with knowledge in dangerous goods / hazard chemical handling and legislation and HSSE will be highly desirable. This position is to be based in Nanjing.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a safe operation, to obtain profit contribution by managing staff, establishing and accomplishing business objectives
- Increase management's effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, training, coaching, counselling managers, communicating values, strategies and objectives, assigning accountabilities, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results, developing incentives, developing a strong safety climate, and providing educational and development support within a strong local culture
- Develop an ongoing operational plan by studying technical and financial opportunities, presenting assumptions and making recommendations
- Establish and monitor plans, budgets, and results measurements, allocating resources, reviewing progress and taking any remedial actions
- Develop and drive a culture of continuous improvement in HSSE to best in class standards
- Build the company image by collaborating with the customer, local government to ensure compliance to regulation, approvals, permits etc., local community and employees ensuring ethical practices
- Maintain a quality service by establishing and enforcing organisation standards
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, bench-marking state of the art practices, participating in professional societies
Requirements:
- 7 years or above in general management preferably in the chemical industry
- Bachelor Degree graduate, preferably in a technical or business discipline. Familiarity with dangerous goods / hazard chemical handling and legislation and HSSE is desirable
- Strong process documentation skills and understanding of process applications (e.g. Microsoft Package)
- Ability to drive projects and timelines with minimal guidance
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage stakeholders at various levels and build consensus
- Strong facilitation skills
- Experience in effectively communicating across geographies, cultures and levels of the organization required
- Strong knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Microsoft PowerPoint, Visio, and Excel)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills both English & Mandarin
