What you do As a Material Quality Specialist, you have ownership over securing the fabric quality during development and production stages.  You are responsible for making technical evaluations and following up on Fabric Technical Data to ensure that it is aligned with sample yardage and bulk production test results. If it is not, you analyse the root cause and work with suppliers to find solutions or make suggestions to correct the situation. You are responsible for monitoring and evaluating the activities that are driven by our suppliers and aligned with H&M Group’s quality requirements. You ensure that the focus on product material quality is core from preproduction, contributing to on-time delivery. You work with dye and chemical suppliers to maintain innovative and ‘out of the box’ thinking, to come up with new solutions and improvements. You follow up closely quality performance and continuously provide feedback to the suppliers accordingly. 

How you do it

As a Material Quality Specialist, you deliver on the areas you have ownership for by living our values every day and primarily through collaboration and teamwork. You collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders through efficient communication to secure the best quality and on time delivery.  You have a guiding approach while interacting with the respective stakeholders on H&M Group’s material quality.  You take initiatives to define challenges or problems with the suppliers and work on development actions together with the respective supplier’s representatives on-site and factory visit. You channel your entrepreneurial spirit with your innovative and ‘out of the box’ thinking, to come up with fresh and proactive solutions/improvements.  You have strong technical knowledge and a great attention to detail to be able to evaluate material quality and highlight if there are high-risk materials
