POSITION DESCRIPTION:

This position is responsible for providing key technical expertise on developing non-implantable medical software systems (including supporting hardware, software and software services) to exceed the requirements and expectations of patients, clinicians, regulators and the business.  

We are seeking a candidate with a strong technical background, including ideally experience with medical devices. They are expected to apply extensive technical knowledge and principles in field of practice, have broad knowledge of other related/interfacial fields of practice, and generally are recognized as a subject matter expert. The suitable candidate should have knowledge about the whole software product development life cycle including requirements generation, design, development and testing. The suitable candidate should have great communication and collaboration skills.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

?Design, review, analyze, and manage system and functional level requirements

?Assist with or lead software requirement document creation. Perform requirement analysis to determine completeness and compliance with software system.

?Involve in all aspects of software development, including writing specification, design, and implementation of embedded and PC-based software per Medtronic software development procedure.

?Support and perform design, development, documentation and execution of software verification and validation plans, schedules, and write reports to ensure medical device products meet published specifications and requirements and comply with Quality System Regulations.

?Interface with electrical and systems engineers

BASIC EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

?Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering with a software focus, or similar related field.

?3+/10+ years sound experience in software design and implementation using window platform.

?Strong knowledge of software design, development, debug and test practices

?Proficient in C/C++ and C#.

?Speak and write in Mandarin and English fluently

?Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

?Expertise with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint

? Ability to work with requirement management and issue tracking tools

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

?Able to work effectively in heavily matrixed environment.

?Able to work in direct, cross-functional, cross-geography and cross-cultural teams.

? Strong work ethic and initiative in accomplishing objectives.

?Strong organization and time management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.

?Experience with product development lifecycle

DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

?Master’s degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science

?Experience working in a regulated environment such as Class II or III medical devices, automotive, or aerospace

?Software project management experience

?Sound understanding of software engineering principles and processes including bug and version tracking tools.
