Basic Information

• Location: Shanghai (Shanghai Dow Center in Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park)

• Function: Technical Service & Development (TS&D)

• Department: Advanced Assembly Solutions in Dow Performance Silicone

Main Responsibilities:

• Perform lab tests utilizing lab equipment and test capabilities including

• Materials (silicone based mainly) properties characterization like tensile/elongation, adhesion, dielectric strength, thermal conductivity, etc.

• Apply and evaluate silicone materials on customers’ real devices like PCB (printed circuit board), smartphone chip, server CPU (Central Processing Unit), etc.

• Summarize, report and document the test results properly according to Dow documentation standard

• Responsible for daily lab operation including sample inventory, equipment maintenance, SOP and SKP, Lab 5S and EHS.

• Support TSD to develop and improve test method and capabilities

Desired Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, polymer science, material science or related fields.

• 2years+ chemical Lab experience with skills of chemical and polymer basic properties characterization, lab equipment operation and maintenance.

• Chemical Lab EHS and 5S relevant experience would be a plus

• Good communication skills and teamwork spirit to ensure that the Lab tests could be clearly understood, performed, summarized, reported and documented timely and effectively.

• Demonstrate good integrity, professionalism and ownership

• Basic English written skills for technical report and daily email communication.
