General Responsibilities
1. Manage IQC, IPQC, OQC and SQA of TTI machine shop in mainland China.
2. Define Process Capabilities for all operations and implement improvement plans where necessary and controls to maintain identified capabilities.
3. Define, establish, and ensure successful ISO Certification for business unit.
4. Work with New Product Teams, Reliability and Engineering department to ensure that all products meet internal quality standards.
5. Work with other departments to continuously drive and improve the quality related processes at suppliers and internal manufacturing locations.
6. Ensure Quality data is collected for all required metrics, reports, scorecards and communicate overall Quality performance to senior management.
7. The position is stationed at Houjie factories in DongGuan, PRC but may require travel to supplier manufacturing locations throughout China and possibly Customer visits overseas.


Specific Responsibilities

1. Define Quality Organization and processes for the Machine Shop

.2. Work closely with the TTI global business counterparts for new products development and transfers

.3. Work closely with Gemba Kaizen team in order to minimize the manufacturing cost by reducing scrap, and improving efficiency.

4. Prepare annual department budgets and create reporting system to track variance

.5. Disposition non-conforming material and product as part of MRB process

.6. Maintain database of required quality documentation.

7. Manage data acquisition systems and effectively report Quality performance to all levels of the company

.8 Customer return. Ensure quick and effective customer complaint investigation and Corrective Action feedback with full cooperation with customer complaint group

.9 Develop supplier capabilities by working closely with the supplier engineering, quality teams, and TTI sourcing team.•

Lead a team of SQE's to qualify potential new suppliers and control incoming quality.

10 Responsible for implementation of Quality Plans for new and existing products

11 Ensure departments are adequately staffed and trained with skills needed to perform required functions

12Work closely with Production Management, Program Management, Corporate metallurgical department, and meet delivery schedules and production goals, while actively maintaining the expected level of quality.

13. Ensure inter-departmental cooperation and maintain effective and efficient communications.


3) Qualifications and Requirements

1. BS in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Science.
2. At least eight years in Quality field with minimum 5 years in a Managerial position. Past working experience in Machine Shop environment. Motor Manufacturing experience a plus.
3. High-level knowledge of ISO 9000, QS 9000, ISO 14001 & family standards.
4. Strong Project Management skills.
5. Proven skills using Statistical analysis tools (eg. SPC, Cpk, DOE, PFMEA etc)
6. Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese, written and spoken.
7. Experience with Process improvement techniques (6 sigma, Kaizen etc.). Black Belt a definite plus.
8. Strong PC skills required, including word processing and spreadsheets.
9. Good team player with positive approach.
10. Good communication and systematic problem solving skills.
11. Confidence and conviction to maintain the highest safety and quality standards while under pressure to meet shipment dates.
