Job Description:
-Plans, directs, and controls the manufacturing operations in order to efficiently meet production requirements.
-Assures that all finished products meet CET quality standards.
-Administers a fair and equitable employee relations philosophy in order to assure strong employee relations.
-Projects a favorable Company image through sound community and area relations.
-Proposes an annual variable overhead and period cost budget and meets objectives of approved budget.
-Directs staff in the efficient operation of manufacturing operations. Accountable for financial performance of plant using contribution margin methodology.
-Manages activities to ensure conformance to all Company Industries, Company BU and CET safety and health policies, systems, and procedures, and compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
-These activities include, but are not limited to: development/Implementation of an effective health and safety policy, participating in facility safety inspections and safety meetings, establishing and attaining activity-based and results-oriented safety objectives, and providing leadership to ensure a safe working environment.
-Develops and trains all manpower resources in order to provide the necessary job skills for present and future requirements.
-Supports the CET Quality Policy as demonstrated in adherence to the TQA and TQM systems.
-Insures the company's compliance with all Federal, State, and local EPA laws and regulations.
-Manages activities to ensure compliance with all applicable environmental regulations and conformance with all Company Industries, Company BU and CET environmental policies, procedures, and directives.
-Coordinates Quality Systems group and certification: ISO 9002 & QS 9000.
Job Requirement:
-Plans, directs, and controls electronic plant operations in an efficient and economical basis to achieve maximum productivity at minimum cost, maintaining world class levels of customer satisfaction and quality, safety, and employee relations. Develops, motivates and administers staff in such a manner as to achieve total manufacturing objectives. Requires interaction with local authorities and is responsible for the legal, financial responsibilities of the Plant.
-The manager of Operations and is responsible for safe, environmentally sound, and financially responsible operations of the assigned plant.
-This is accomplished through the effective leadership of a staff of six to eight individuals who take ownership for business units or specific disciplines within the plant.
-Through education and experience, the manager should be able to actively participate in the management of the facility. Communication skills are very important, as the Manager/Director must be able to effectively communicate with individuals from all socio-economic levels.
-Customer contact is common and encouraged in the day-to-day activity of expanding the business. Driving cost reduction through labor, material, or design opportunities is ongoing.
-Positive community relations are to be driven by the Manager/Director.
-The manager must possess a working knowledge of applicable laws and company policies related to the operation of his/her facility and maintain compliance.
-Minimum job requirements are a college degree and ten years experience in a manufacturing environment or fifteen years experience in a manufacturing environment.
