Responsibilities:-

Summary

- The Engineering Manager demonstrates direct supervision for the Engineering personnel within the engineering team. This includes overseeing their actions and deliverables, as it relates to engineering and revision of products from information or input provided by marketing personnel, customers, product development engineers, manufacturing engineers or other personnel. This team converts input into a form that can be presented to the customer. The team shall maintain existing products, processes, and specifications including modifications for new applications consistent with manufacturing techniques and business standards. The Engineering Manager possesses and applies considerable knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and procedures, including understanding of cable manufacturing technologies such as extrusion, twisting, cabling, taping and braiding operations. Responsible for engineering personnel and systems which perform the following:

- Product Design and Costing to include Material Selection, Electrical Design, Mechanical Design, and Safety Agency Requirements.

- Development of Bill of Material, routing, and internal manufacturing documents / SOP.

- Development of documentation for customer specifying design details.

- Coordinate with Sales and customer to develop design.

- In order to meet customer specification and delivery, employee must work in accordance with company established procedures and policies.

- And other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions (In order of importance)

- Design cables for quotation.

- Create cable specifications.

- Create manufacturing standards.

- Process product change requests.

- Review of customer specifications.

- Provide technical support to sales/customers.

Requirements:-

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Education Needed To Do The Job

- Engineering Degree, preferably BSEE, or equivalent experience.

- Computer software experience, CAD experience desirable.

- Ability to communicate well on technical issues with in-house staff.

- Very knowledgeable in engineering software.

- Good verbal and written communication skills in the English language.

- Must be able to distinguish between colors.

- Read and interpret drawings, sketches and product specifications.

Experience Needed To Do The Job

- Minimum of 5+ years of related cable design engineering experience.
