JOB SUMMARY:

  

Responsible for providing English-Chinese and Chinese-English translation, review, terminology building and interpretation support for Gap Inc. as directed.

         

  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  

• Provide simultaneous and consecutive interpretation support as required.
• Translate emails and documents as requested.
• Conduct review and support internal translation platform maintenance.

  

  

QUALIFICATIONS:

  

1. Required knowledge, skills & abilities:

   • Proficient in written/spoken English, Chinese and Cantonese.

   • Demonstrated professionalism and ability to maintain highest level of confidentiality and integrity.

   • Adaptive to changes and fast paced environment.

   • Fast learner.

   • Good inter-personal and presentation skills.

   • Able to travel regularly within China and occasionally overseas (approximately 30% domestic with some international travel expected).

   • Professional simultaneous interpretation training is preferred.

   • An interest in apparel retail.

      

2. Minimum Education Level

                      

• Graduated from professional translation and interpretation institutions with solid translation and interpretation skills.

  

 3.    Experience Required

• Experience in a corporate environment and retail environment is preferred.

• Experience in consumer-facing company is preferred.
